Influences: The Warriors video game is based on the movie The Warriors which was released on February 9, 1979. Levels 1 of the game recreates 13 acts as a prequel to the film, creating backstory and elaborating on the characters from the film. Levels 14 through 18 recreates much of the film's events. Several of the actors from the movie returned to perform the voices for their original characters.
